Ingredients:
1 package of pitas, something like this.
1 package of hummus, or you can make your own!
1 carrot, sliced. You can also just use baby carrots if that’s easier.
1 olive, sliced in half
1 butter cracker
Instructions
Take out a pita and lay it on the plate.
Take a generous scoop of hummus and apply it to the center of the pita, then spread it around evenly.
Thinly slice the carrot or baby carrots (I find it helpful to have this prepped ahead of time) and lay slices around the outer rim of the pita. These should attach to the hummus, and you can leave around half of the slice (long way) on the pita. This is the lion’s mane.
Place each half of the olive in the upper portion of the center of your pita, for two eyes.
Place the butter cracker in the middle for the lions nose.
Use two of your most thinly sliced carrots for the mouth, sticking out from the nose and curved upward like a cartoon animal’s mouth. (Pictures coming soon!)
Eat and enjoy!
